Meet the amazing team at Sunflower Stables equestrian facility

Lilli - Owner & the backbone of Sunflower Stables, Lilli is the smiling face you’ll see around the stables, with horses in her blood from childhood at Mintos Park Stud. Riding before she could walk, she’s taught everyone from beginners to top riders since age 12 & retrained hundreds of off-track thoroughbreds. A passionate showjumper, she’s developed A-Grade horses like Douro Valley. At home, she is mum to Toby (10) & stepson Connor, & prides herself on building a team that’s like family.

Nakita - Our amazing Manager & Coach with 10 years’ riding experience & Mister’s owner. Competitive 1m showjumper, eventer & western pleasure rider, she excels at exercising & retraining cheeky or unridden horses—earning the nickname “Test Dummy.” Her expertise empowers students to build confidence. With a Certificate III in Equine Studies, she’s studying Equine Sports Massage & pursuing saddle fitting. Her knowledge & dedication make her an invaluable team member to Sunflower Stables.

Alanna - With over 15 years of riding experience, is a dedicated horse owner since 2020. She specialises in natural horsemanship and groundwork, having successfully trained her own horses.  

 Jeyda - One of our skilled coach with a lifelong passion for riding, starting at age three. She owns four horses, competing with Shar in dressage and developing a young prospect. Her ambition is to compete at high levels. Jeyda enjoys reading and loves the color pink. 

Nathan - Integral to Sunflower Stables, supporting daily operations with dedication and a strong work ethic. As Lilli's partner, he cares for the horses each morning and proudly owns Hardy, a 4yo Thoroughbred. Dubbed "the bucket man," Nathan feeds the horses multiple times daily. Although new to riding, Nathan and his son Conner are quickly gaining confidence in the saddle. Conner also assists with feeds and organization, making their contributions essential to the stables' success. 

Toby -  Growing up surrounded by horses, starting with Lucy, a 16hh off-track Thoroughbred. He now rides Lexie and is preparing for a new challenge with a young Quarter Horse x Thoroughbred. Toby is a reliable helper at the riding school, passionate about jumping, and aims to compete in showjumping and mounted games.
